Oleleshwa Night Raises Over $14,000

The fundraiser I co-hosted in January, to raise funds for the construction of Oleleshwa Primary School (see above) in Kenya, raised over $14,000.  Approximately 175 people attended the evening event in downtown Toronto and enjoyed a silent auction, presentation, documentary short, open bar and food.  All attendees expressed the great time they had and were enthusiastic about our organization and the work we do.  The funds raised at this event will allow us to complete the construction of the first 2 classroom unit and begin the construction of the much needed third classroom.  I have volunteered a good portion of my time over the last few years towards researching, designing, fundraising and helping construct the school.  For more information please visit Harambee 4 Humanity’s page.
