Day 145 – Poon Hill, Nepal

From Poon Hill (3253m) there is a 360 degree view, with 180 degrees of it being taken up by mountains that range from 7000-8000+m in height.  The fishtail mountain in some of these photographs is just below 7000m and is considered sacred by the Nepalese.  The fishtail mountain has never been summited as a result.  The final photograph is from Ghorepani, which is the village below Poon Hill, not a bad setting for a game of basketball, although you would be out of breath running one end of the court to the other, let alone doing that multiple times in a game.
