This fall I will be exploring the idea of Asset Urbanism through a combination of research and design. As a group, we developed 34 case studies that are all different spatial results of architecture being an asset. As we explored the case studies several themes became apparent which allowed us to sort the case studies into Geographies of Financialization, Spatialities of Capital Agility, The Invention of Desire, Hitchhiking Developments, Avatars of Superwealth and Architectures of Affordability.
Our aim is to consolidate all our research into one document, which will be made available online. In the mean time here is a sampling of the case studies that I developed. For a pdf of the case studies I completed click here.
